I drive a lot around Sydney and as you know there are many ways to get to your destination. You can choose to go via the back streets which may take more or less time. Then you have the option of main roads or tolls which can cut the time it takes to get there in half.

 

THE FACTS: It's not enough for the therapist to be committed in getting the results for you. As this is your life and your own personal commitment to yourself in making any change is key. Having a willingness to experiment with new behaviours, putting in 100% effort to making time to reflect or exercise new strategies will have a huge impact to your results.
The most important question to ask yourself is…

 

Are you willing to do WHATEVER it takes to get the results you want?

 

NLP is not just talking about what you want to achieve - it's about the doing. You’ve heard the expression “Actions are louder than words”. What actions are best to take is something we decide on together, because everyone is different and experiences the world differently.

So where do we start, as an NLP therapist I like to gain a clear understanding of where you are right now and even more importantly where is it that you want to be now.

 

NLP is a results directed type therapy, setting up clear goals so we are all on the same page and have a clear destination.

 

What’s the first step? I believe it’s about firstly being honest with yourself and simply acknowledging the current situation or challenge that you are looking to change.

 

The Second Step – Is about making that conscious decision to make change happen and being willing to do whatever it takes to get there.

 

The third step? Is about reaching out and asking for help. Whether it is to a family member, friend or a professional, Taking that first baby step, leads you towards getting to your goal and no matter how wobbly or shaky it may feel at first when your eyes are set on the end goal and when you are willing to do whatever it takes to get there – it’s worth it.

 

There are many ways to get around in Sydney, whether by car, foot, rollerblades or boat, the options available to you the possibilities are infinite.
